Why Should I Join this LLC?

  • The Quad LLC was created to provide Black and Hispanic/Latino students a space for cultural connection and academic support.
  • Focusing on the four areas of student development that are priorities at Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) as well as Hispanic Serving Institutions (HSIs): Cultural Connections, Engagement, Academics and Service, students will be provided an environment where they can grow and flourish.
  • We give students the opportunity to live in an environment that fosters unity amongst underrepresented students.
  • Residents will be surrounded by Black and Hispanic/Latino students in a supportive, academic-focused living-learning community that eases your transition to college.
  • We encourage focus on self-development and exploration beyond race and ethnicity which will allow you to self-identify your needs and how you present yourself self to the world.
  • Students will have the opportunity to participate in events and activities centered around Cultural Connections, Engagement, Academics and Service. You'll gain study skills, learn about WVU resources and stay engaged.
  • Build connections with other students, staff members and faculty who are passionate about empowering underrepresented communities at WVU.
  • Prepare for success and persistence from your first days on campus all the way to graduation.

Application

How Can I Join?

All applications for The Quad LLC will be reviewed by a committee of staff and students who will select members of the community. Students who apply by February 28 will receive notification of their selection in mid-March. Students who apply after April 1 will be notified of their selection about two weeks after completing The Quad Community Application and the Housing Application.

The Quad LLC is open to all students of color at WVU. For more information about the Quad LLC, contact Javier McCoy and/or Aaliyah Sadler.

  1. Complete The Quad LLC Community Application and apply for a residence hall which includes paying the $225 housing deposit and choosing a space in a WVU residence hall.
