Move In

Welcome to WVU and to your home on campus!

MoveIn

The staff in the Office of Housing and Residence Life have been working hard to prepare for your arrival and we want to make sure that your move-in process goes as smoothly as possible. Move-in is quickly arriving, and it’s a busy and exciting time on campus. It takes a lot of planning on your part…and ours. We are ready, are you? For that day to go smoothly, please take time to plan for what you are bringing, how you are going to get here, and read the info provided on this site as a general guide. We look forward to welcoming home our Mountaineers. It will be a busy day, but with patience and teamwork, we can all make it a successful experience.

Fall New Student Move-In

AUGUST 12, 2017

When you arrive at your residence hall, staff will direct you to the Check-In area and assist you with any questions that you have. Be on the lookout for our volunteers, the Hot Shots, they can help you unload your car and take items to your room.

West Virginia University Police Officers (UPD) will be directing traffic around the residence halls and providing directions for parking.

If you arrive to check in after 5pm, you will need to check in with the main desk of your residence hall. Signs will be posted to assist you to the right location.
