Students may request break housing for Spring Break. The Registration Deadline is Friday, March 7.
A limited number of residence halls (Oakland East/West, as well as Bennett and Braxton Towers in the Evansdale Residential Complex) are scheduled to remain open during Spring Break. Students living in these halls may register to stay in their rooms during the break period, and a limited number of spaces are available in the Evansdale Residential Complex (Towers) for students who live in halls other than those designated as break housing.
Break Housing Details
- The residence halls close on Friday, March 14 at 7 p.m. and reopen on Sunday, March 23 at noon.
- Advanced registration is required. The registration deadline is Friday, March 7. No refunds (partial or full) will be granted after the registration deadline or if a student registers and does not utilize the space during all or part of the break period.
- The cost for Break Housing is $175 for then entire break period (March 14 - March 23). We are not able to accommodate single-night stays at a reduced rate. If your are seeking a short term stay we encourage you to explore local hotel options. Many search engines and travel booking sites have up-to-date hotel/motel information and pricing information. You may also view options through the Greater Morgantown Convention and Visitor's Bureau.
- If there is little or no demand in any of the residence halls designated as spring break housing, Housing and Residence Life reserves the right to close one or more of these locations and move students with break housing reservations to other halls within the Evansdale Residential Complex (Towers).
- Only current residents with existing housing contracts (2024-2025) are eligible for break housing.
- Services available during break periods are limited, as staffing will be reduced.
