Frequently Asked Questions Break Housing
Is there a charge to stay for break housing?
Yes, there is a $25 per day charge to stay for break housing (check-out time is 2pm). Fees will be charged to student's account (students will be charged for the following night if they stay past check-out).
What if I don’t stay for the whole break?
You will be charged for the days during the break period for which you registered. Full and partial refunds will not be applied after the registration deadline or if a registered student does not utilize the space during all or part of their registration period.
Q. Is there a deadline to register?
A. Registration deadline for Thanksgiving Break and Football housing extended to November 11.
Can I have guests stay with me during break?
No, guests and visitors are not allowed during break housing periods.
Will dining be available during break housing?
A. WVU Dining locations will be closed during official university
breaks. But participants can use their Dining Dollars and/or Mountie Bounty at
Mountie Bounty Participating Locations
Will the residence hall fitness centers be available during spring break?
No, they will not be available.
Q. If I move to Brooke Tower for break housing will linens be provided?
No, you will need to bring your own linens and towels.
If I move to Brooke Tower for break housing will I have access to my permanent room?
No, you will not be able to access your permanent room during the break periods.
When can I register for break housing?
A. Registration will be online and available the following dates for each of the respective break periods:
- Thanksgiving Break registration: Extended to November 11
- Winter Break registration: November 4 - December 6
- Spring Break registration: February 3 - 28
