Wellness Coordinator Position Information
Dear Wellness Coordinator and Graduate Wellness Coordinator Applicants,
Congratulations on your first step to assuming one of the most influential student leadership roles at West Virginia University! The Wellness Coordinator (WC)/Graduate WC position provides a unique opportunity to grow personally while helping residence hall students succeed at the university. Due to the unique nature and impact of the position, our selection process is very competitive.
Since WCs and Graduate WCs must be full time students at WVU, we encourage you to think carefully about your own academic expectations and the possible impact of the WC position. Applicants who are in some academic programs (Health Sciences, Teacher Ed, Medicine, Law, and Forensics) may need to seek pre-approval from their department for the tuition waiver. Please check with your department if you have any questions regarding your program commitments.
*Applications are due online by Noon on Friday, January 18th, 2013
University Housing: If you want to live in University housing and you are not hired as an WC or Graduate WC, you should meet all housing application deadlines. If you apply to live in University housing and you are subsequently hired to be an WC/Graduate WC, you will be released from your regular housing contract and the full amount of the housing deposit will be credited back to your account.
Financial Aid: The WC/Graduate WC position provides full coverage for a single room and meals during the appointment period. This is considered to be a resource for purposes of financial aid and scholarship processing and can impact on other aid programs and/or scholarships for which a student might otherwise qualify.
