Spa style bathrooms are a newly designed concept that provide private, single occupancy restrooms within a community style area. Each pod is similar to a private home bathroom and will have a locking door, toilet, shower, sink, and mirror. The spa style bathrooms are located in the middle of the hallway on each floor.
Dining Service has a grab and go area in the lobby of the building that is accessible through the student’s meal plan. The meal plan can also be used at any of the residential dining facilities across campus. There are also vending machines available in the building.
Oakland Hall is staffed and regulated like other residence halls across campus. The main desk in the lobby is staffed 24 hour a day. The buildings have Resident Assistants, Night Staff, and a professional Residence Hall Coordinator for each building. The doors also lock at 9 p.m. each night and students must present their ID cards to enter after hours.
The buildings are equipped with sprinkler systems, smoke detectors, and heat detectors.
Oakland Hall is located north of University Avenue and located along Harding Avenue and Oakland Street.
