Built in 1966, Summit Hall is conveniently located just two blocks from the Life Sciences Building and PRT and within easy walking distance to the entire downtown campus. The ten story building is set up in suite accommodation style: there are two students per room who share a bathroom with two other residents in the adjoining room. The renovated ground and first floors of Summit Hall house many convenient facilities that our students enjoy. The Summit Cafe was completely rebuild over the summer of 2009 and features daily hot food specials, a made to order sub/sandwich bar, and a brand new stone pizza oven. The Grab ‘N Go is a “to go” style eatery where you can enjoy daily sandwich specials as well as Starbucks Coffee products. The ground floor is also the location of the laundry room and student mailboxes. The first floor of the building, also completely renovated in 2009, features a fitness center with treadmills, elliptical machines, stationary bikes, and a dumbbell set. Next to the lobby there is also a cinema room that students can check out the key to. In this room is a 60” plasma TV and several couches. Residents can enjoy a football game in the cinema or join us for our weekly film club meetings.

Popular amongst WVU students for years, Summit Hall is a great place to live. Many of the daily necessities are easily accessible and the friendly staff will do everything in their power to make sure students have the resources they need.
