Who Has to Live on Campus
First time Freshman and Transfer students:

Students who live at home with parents within a 50-mile radius of WVU
Students who are married
Students who have children
Students that are 21 years old.
Non traditional Students:
Those students 25 or older, graduate, and married students, and both faculty and staff seeking housing can find accommodations at our University Apartments.

In order to be considered a commuter, you must live within a 50-mile radius of Morgantown with your parent(s)/guardian. Living with a sibling or other relative does not qualify you as a commuter.
If you are completing a paper application and you are planning to commute, please complete both the top and the back of the application/contract. If you are completing the application on-line and are eligible to commute, a commuting option will appear on your application. Simply check that box and submit your application. It is important that we have you listed as a commuter in our system to avoid sending you mail that does not apply to you.
